Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about getting married in Cyprus — from legal requirements to ceremony design.
No — Cyprus warmly welcomes couples from all over the world. You don't need residency or any prior connection to the island. You will need to be in Cyprus for at least 3 business days before the ceremony to complete the necessary legal formalities at the civil registry.
Typically you'll need valid passports, birth certificates with apostille, proof of single status (Certificate of No Impediment or equivalent — also apostilled), and any divorce or death certificates if previously married. Requirements vary by nationality — we provide every couple with a personalised document checklist.
A civil wedding is legally binding and recognised internationally — it is a marriage in the legal sense. A symbolic ceremony carries deep personal meaning but is not legally registered. Many couples choose a symbolic ceremony in Cyprus for the beauty and freedom it offers, alongside a simple legal registration in their home country.
We recommend booking at least 6–12 months in advance, especially for peak season (April–October) when our most popular venues and dates fill quickly. That said, we can often accommodate shorter timelines — contact us and we'll see what's possible for your preferred date.
April through October offer reliably warm, dry weather. Spring (April–June) is especially beautiful with wildflowers and gentle temperatures ranging from 20–27°C. September and October offer the warmth of summer without the intense heat. Winter ceremonies (November–March) are peaceful, private, and often more affordable.
Absolutely. The vast majority of our couples are based overseas. We manage the entire planning process via email, video calls, and WhatsApp — from venue scouting to ceremony design. You don't need to be in Cyprus until a few days before your ceremony.
We warmly welcome all couples regardless of gender, orientation, or background. Our symbolic and custom ceremonies are fully inclusive and entirely personalised to reflect your love story. While Cyprus does not currently legally register same-sex marriages, we create deeply meaningful symbolic ceremonies for all couples.

We work with over 20 carefully selected venues across Cyprus — beachside settings, luxury villas, historic churches, clifftop terraces, vineyard gardens, and boutique hotels. All venues are personally vetted by our team. We'll present you with a curated shortlist matched to your style, guest numbers, and budget.
Yes. Many couples choose to have a symbolic ceremony in Cyprus and handle the legal registration quietly at home. In this case you don't need to gather legal documents for Cyprus at all — we simply focus on designing the most meaningful ceremony possible for your day.
